The ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Gaming 12G GDDR6X has been stripped down and rebuilt to deliver even more powerful power and cooling. The new metal shroud houses three powerful, axial-technology fans that use durable dual ball-bearing fan bearings. Fan rotation has been optimized to reduce turbulence, and a stop mode turns off all three fans at low temperatures.

AXIAL-TECH UPGRADES
TUF Gaming cards take advantage of the tried and true Axial-tech fan design, with three fans working in tandem to meet the thermal demands of NVIDIA’s new high-octane design. Fans rely on double ball bearings to ensure consistent performance and increased longevity compared to sleeve bearings and other types of bearings.

New trends
The two side fans rotate counterclockwise to reduce turbulence. And to eliminate unnecessary noise, the pause mode stops all fans when the GPU temperature drops below 50 degrees and power consumption is low.

Max Contact
To heat the die and the inside of the heatsink matrix, we used MaxContact technology to polish the surface of the heatsink and improve smoothness on a microscopic level. The extra flatness allows for better contact with the mold for improved heat transfer.

2.7 hole design
The heat spreader draws heat into heat pipes that transfer it through an array of fins that fill most of the space of the large 2.7-slot card.

TUF Components
Components for TUF Gaming graphics cards are selected based on their durability and performance. The all-aluminum housing adds rugged protection for TUF Gaming graphics cards, a no-nonsense industrial design, and a gray colorway that easily matches any hardware.

It’s cooler in the back
The underside of the card reveals further improvements. Most of the back is covered by a protective metal back plate that prominently features a wide vent. The vent allows hot air to escape into the chassis exhaust fans rather than being recirculated back into the radiator. Stainless steel is used for the I/O bracket to protect the ports and provide a more secure installation. Conveniently placed Dual Bios switch allows customization of the card’s default performance profile without software.

The RGB element on the topside can be customized to display a range of aesthetic and functional effects and also synchronized with other ASUS components to enable uniform lighting. An 8-pin connector meets the power requirements of the GeForce RTX 3060, and the built-in LED lights illuminate if the power connectors are not connected properly.
